Privacy Policy
Effective June 12, 2026
Plain-English summary first, details below.
- We collect your email, a hashed password, the business names you track and their score history — and nothing else.
- No third-party trackers, no ad networks, no data sales. Our only analytics are anonymous pageview counts kept on our own server.
- Want out? Email kaiwan.antia@gmail.com and we delete your account and everything attached to it.
What we collect
If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed version of your password (we never store the password itself — it is hashed with bcrypt before it touches the database). As you use the product, we also store the business names, cities and categories you choose to track, along with each business's score history so you can see the trend over time.
We also keep server-side anonymous pageview counts — a simple tally of how many times each page was loaded each day. These counts contain no IP addresses, no device fingerprints and nothing that identifies you. There are no third-party trackers and no ads anywhere on this site.
How we use it
Your email is used to log you in, to send you account emails (welcome, password resets) and — if you ask for it — your weekly score digest. The businesses you track are used for exactly one thing: producing and storing their Answer Scores for you. We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
What goes to AI providers
To compute a score, we send recommendation-style questions about the business name you looked up (for example, "What's the best boba shop in Coral Gables?") to AI providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity and xAI. Only the business name, city and category go into those queries — never your email, your password or anything personal about you.
Cookies
We use exactly one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. It is httpOnly (JavaScript can't read it), expires after 30 days, and contains a random token — no personal data. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Where your data lives
The app is hosted on Render (render.com), and your data is stored on a disk attached to that service. Render's own infrastructure security applies to the machines the app runs on.
Deleting your data
Email kaiwan.antia@gmail.com from your account email and ask for deletion. We'll delete your account, your tracked businesses and their score history, and confirm when it's done.
Changes & contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date at the top and note the change here. Questions about any of this: kaiwan.antia@gmail.com.
